Tirunelveli is regarded as a special district in the state as the region features, as distinguished as in the ancient Tamil Literature such as mountainous (Kurunji), woods / Forest (Mullai), fertile land without slope (Marutham) area shaping the seacoast (Neithal), and dry desert lands (Paalai). TheThamirabarani or Porunai is a perennial river that originates from the Agastyarkoodam peak of Pothigai hills of the Western Ghats with divine and historical significance which waters the southern districts throughout the year . Our conference is named after the Thamirabarani river and themed “Confluence of Smiles” to celebrate the Brotherhood and Unity in our Fraternity.
